Integrated pest management service for SUMAR centres: rodent, insect and ant control

Summary

The tender covers integrated pest-management services at SUMAR facilities and social-service centres in Catalonia, divided into three geographical lots: Girona, Barcelona, and Tarragona and Lleida. The service includes rodent control, insect control and ant control; scheduled preventive visits; responses to reported incidents and corrective work; maintenance of monitoring devices; and replacement of consumables. Plant pests, protected species, wasp or bee nests, and tiger mosquitoes are excluded. The contractor must carry out an initial inspection of each centre no later than 15 calendar days after contract signature or the centre’s inclusion in the service, and prepare a centre-specific pest-management plan and work schedule. Minimum frequencies are four visits per year at residential care facilities, quarterly visits at day and service centres, and visits every six months at specialist services and comparable locations; frequency must increase where pest risk warrants it. The response time is up to 72 hours for ordinary incidents and up to 24 hours for urgent or priority incidents, including rodents found indoors or pests in sensitive food-handling and care areas. The service warranty includes up to three incident or follow-up visits per centre per year. The bidder must submit a price for every line in the pricing schedule for each lot. No line price may exceed the applicable maximum, and each line must be priced at more than €0.01. The pricing schedules show maximum lot amounts, excluding VAT, of €4,829 for Girona, €4,785 for Barcelona, and €3,696 for Tarragona and Lleida. The successful bidder must be authorised to provide biocide services and provide a suitably qualified technical manager and trained biocide applicators.
