Veterinary sterilisation and parasite treatment for street cats
Summary
The contract is for veterinary services for street-cat colonies in municipalities in Valladolid province with fewer than 20,000 residents. The work includes external and internal parasite treatment, microchipping and registration, and sterilisation of male or female cats. Where necessary, the service also covers wound treatment, caesarean sections or euthanasia justified and supervised by a veterinarian. After treatment, cats must be kept in hospital cages for up to 72 hours, marked by an ear notch, and returned to their colony in coordination with the animal-capture service. If the clinic is outside Valladolid province, the veterinary provider must arrange transport at its own expense. Cats are delivered during the clinic’s normal business hours, and intake arrangements must prevent any contact between street cats and the clinic’s regular clients. Bidders must quote unit prices for six types of service. The maximum contract budget is EUR 200,000 including VAT, and price is the sole award criterion. The initial term is two years, with annual extensions possible up to a total of four years. Key participation requirements include veterinary authorisation, a registered clinic with the specified facilities and equipment, capacity to sterilise at least 100 cats per month, the required turnover and relevant prior experience. Bids must be submitted electronically with the required procurement passport and declarations.
