Electrical installation works for the expansion of a primary school dining hall

Summary

The contract covers electrical installation works for an extension to a primary school dining hall. The work includes upgrading the existing distribution board with six residual-current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection; installing six LED surface-mounted lights, one with an emergency-lighting function; using one outdoor light as an emergency light; and installing an illuminated exit sign, five double sockets, two data sockets, one two-way series switch and one smoke detector with a base. The work also includes the required cables and cable routing systems, wall chases and penetrations with making good, equipotential bonding, measurements and required tests, commissioning, labelling and as-built documentation. Several main bids may be submitted, but each must independently qualify for award. Alternative bids are also permitted, subject to the tender-document requirements for proving equivalence, feasibility and completeness, material environmental compatibility and obtaining approvals. The deadline for submitting bids is 20 October 2026.
