Restoration of Wiblingen Monastery Basilica – Phase 3 Glazing Works

Summary

Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg is procuring the conservation and repair of the historic church windows in the nave and towers of the Wiblingen Monastery Basilica in Ulm, covering construction phase 3. The work includes repairing leaded-glass panels, lead profiles and window ironwork, treating and repainting metalwork, renewing putty, cleaning the windows inside and out, maintaining condensation channels and documenting the restoration. The bill of quantities includes replacement of 70 individual panes and 30 hours each of foreman and skilled-worker time for unforeseen work; exterior work is planned for spring 2027 and interior work for around summer 2027.
