The City of Aachen is procuring two parts of the redesign of Theaterplatz and the adjoining Theaterstraße up to Borngasse: road, civil engineering and landscaping works, and maintenance of the joints in the natural-stone paving. The joint-maintenance work is to be carried out in stages, including at public-transport stops, over the listed areas in Theaterstraße and Theaterplatz; it involves refilling and compacting the joints when requested during the defects-liability period. The main works are scheduled from 4 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with joint maintenance performed annually when requested.
