Railway switch modification works at Atocha Cercanías station

Summary

ADIF is procuring construction works at the Recoletos-end approach to Atocha Cercanías station to renew and modify railway track switches and improve the track alignment and structure. The works include renewing switches 22 and 6, crossover 10 and the connection between tracks 4C and 5C (switches 24–26), changing the track formation from slab track to ballast, removing affected signalling equipment and adapting the existing overhead contact line. The contract is not divided into lots, has a three-month term and a tender budget of €2,829,442.64 excluding VAT.
