2026 Short Expert Reports for the Small Town Academy

Summary

The City of Wittenberge is commissioning two short, research-based expert reports on small-town development, each awarded as a separate lot. Lot 1 addresses the challenges of municipal political work in small towns; Lot 2 examines intermunicipal cooperation in the performance of mandatory municipal tasks, including the organisation of costs and benefits. Each lot includes a 15–20-page manuscript, a one-page summary, references, three one-hour coordination meetings and an approximately 2,000-character article for the Academy’s website. The budget is up to €25,000 gross per lot.
