Shredding Green Waste 2027

Summary

The tender concerns shredding green waste collected at the Kreis Euskirchen composting facility in Mechernich-Strempt during 2027. The material consists mainly of branches and shrubs, which may be up to 5 m long and 40 cm in diameter. The contractor must bring the shredder and provide the necessary transport and operating arrangements, use a screening basket fitted downstream of the cutting shaft to limit the maximum shredded particle size to 160 mm, and supply a suitably sized loader with an operator. Shredded material must be placed in piles at the composting site as instructed by the authority, and the collection and work areas must be cleaned afterwards. The contractor is responsible for safe working arrangements and measures to limit material ejection. Work is expected to be ordered according to the authority’s needs, approximately every 4–6 weeks. The estimate is about 10 work sessions and 22,000 m³ of shredded material per year; the average quantity per session is 2,200 m³, with a possible range of 1,250–3,000 m³. Each ordered job must start within 5–10 working days and be completed without interruption; up to three working days are allowed for each session. A delay penalty of 0.1% of the contract value per day of delay may apply. The contract runs from 1 January to 31 December 2027, with payment calculated per cubic metre of shredded material. Offers are due by 11:00 on 22 October 2026. Bidders must submit a suitability self-declaration or demonstrate prequalification, show experience with comparable work performed during the previous three years, and have the financial, personnel and technical resources needed to perform the contract. Liability insurance covering at least EUR 3 million for personal injury and property damage is required. Bidders must also confirm payment of taxes, social-security contributions and employee health-insurance contributions, and confirm that no exclusion grounds apply.
