Safety and standby power system for UTA

Summary

The tender concerns the complete supply, installation and commissioning of a diesel-powered safety and standby generator system in Building 46 at the WTD 52 site serving an underground facility in Schneizlreuth. During a power outage, the system must supply the fire pumps and firefighting-water cistern as well as the building, particularly its control centre. The specified generator is rated at 200 kVA (160 kW), with an approximately 3,000-litre double-walled diesel tank providing at least 72 hours of operation. The works also include the control and transfer cabinet, interfaces with the building automation system, internal and external exhaust arrangements, air intake and exhaust ventilation, fuel supply, earthing and equipotential bonding, and the necessary building openings and installation equipment. The contractor must carry out testing and a load test, commission the system, provide handover and maintenance documentation, train the operator’s staff and support the expert acceptance inspection. A bidder that is not prequalified must submit a suitability self-declaration and, when requested, evidence concerning comparable experience, registrations, workforce and other stated conditions. Work requiring specialist certification for the fuel system may only be carried out by a specialist company holding a valid certificate under section 62 of the German AwSV. Work is normally permitted Monday to Friday, 06:00–20:00; each installation team working in the underground facility must include a trained first aider.
