Strengthening the crane beams at the North Sea Terminal

Summary

The Port of Antwerp-Bruges is procuring works to strengthen the waterside crane beams at the North Sea container terminal in Antwerp so they can support heavier container cranes. The works mainly involve approximately 2,400 down-the-hole boreholes, each 120 mm in diameter, and the installation and anchoring of anchor rods. Limited excavation, sawing, formwork and concreting are also included. The work will be carried out in smaller, potentially non-contiguous zones while the terminal remains operational; the contract is divided into one lot.
