Reconstruction of the Ostrčilova school kitchen

Summary

The tender covers the reconstruction of the kitchen, dining hall and part of the classroom building at the Ostrčilova school in Ostrava. The works include adding a floor for a second food-serving area and its support facilities, and constructing an extension with a lift and staircase connecting all floors. The building’s utility systems will be renewed, including water supply, sewage, electrical and low-voltage installations and ventilation; solar panels will be installed on the roof. The contract also includes interior fittings and kitchen equipment, relocation of energy networks, landscaping and repairs to paved areas. The estimated value is CZK 118,984,072.84 and the planned contract period is 330 days. Price is the sole award criterion, with bids ranked by price excluding VAT. A bid guarantee of CZK 500,000 is required; bids must be submitted electronically and remain valid for 90 days. Precise qualification criteria and exclusion grounds must be checked in the tender documents. During the works, lunch will continue to be served in temporary school premises. The contractor must minimise waste and prepare at least 70% by weight of non-hazardous construction and demolition material generated for reuse or recycling, while also limiting construction noise, dust and emissions. Legal employment, fair working conditions and occupational safety must be ensured for workers, including those employed by subcontractors.
