Design and construction of Lot 4 of the Craiova–Filiași motorway and Filiași–Târgu Jiu express road

Summary

The contract covers the design and construction of Lot 4 of the Craiova–Filiași motorway and the Filiași–Târgu Jiu express road in Romania. The route is approximately 22.925 km long: 5.103 km of motorway and 17.822 km of express road. Its estimated value is RON 2,485,975,080.26. The contractor will design and build the section under a contract lasting at least 94 months: 10 months for design, 24 months for construction and a minimum 60-month works warranty. A longer offered warranty may extend the overall contract period to 154 months. Award of the contract depends on obtaining or approving funding from the state budget or European funds. Tenderers must meet the required turnover threshold and demonstrate recent experience in road design and construction, including construction or upgrading of a bridge, viaduct or similar structure at least 100 m long. They must also make the specified construction equipment available and have the required quality and environmental management systems. Price accounts for 40 points in the evaluation; the remaining points are awarded for the warranty period, the experience of the project manager and key experts, and the proposed delivery methodology.
