Redevelopment of the Aabenraa Recycling Centre

Summary

The contract concerns redesigning the Aabenraa waste reception and recycling centre as a future-ready facility that supports greater direct reuse and a circular economy. The selected design-and-build contractor will be responsible for both designing and constructing the final solution. The estimated contract value is DKK 60,000,000 and the planned duration is 17 months. The procurement uses competitive dialogue in three stages: prequalification, dialogue and submission of final tenders. The dialogue will develop the overall site plan, the direct-reuse building, user experience, capacity, traffic and logistics, sustainability and operational arrangements. Three dialogue meetings are expected, and participants will receive remuneration. Up to four companies will be shortlisted; the deadline for participation requests is 2 November 2026. The award assessment gives 30% weight to price, 20% to organisation and key personnel, and 50% to solution quality. The contractor must also comply with the contracting authority’s labour clauses. No contract will be awarded to a company with Russian ownership or establishment.
