Furniture procurement

Summary

Klaipėda University Hospital is procuring furniture in three lots: Lot I, cabinets and shelves; Lot II, tables; and Lot III, bedside cabinets. The procurement includes delivery, transport, assembly and installation where needed, and removal of packaging and installation waste. Bids may cover one, two or all lots. Quantities are estimates: furniture will be ordered according to actual needs over a period of up to 36 months, and the buyer is not obliged to purchase the full estimated quantities. Delivery is required within 15 calendar days of an order, and the furniture must carry a 24-month warranty. The initial values, excluding VAT, are EUR 124,000 for Lot I, EUR 66,000 for Lot II and EUR 32,000 for Lot III. Price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must submit a priced bid that meets the technical requirements, an environmental-compliance declaration and a declaration concerning compliance with sanctions and restrictions. No selection criteria or quality- or environmental-management system certifications are required. Furniture specifications include dimensions and materials; among other requirements, at least 80% of wood and wood-based materials must come from forests certified under FSC, PEFC or equivalent schemes, plastic parts weighing at least 50 g must be marked as recyclable, and surface-coating products are subject to restrictions on hazardous substances, volatile organic compounds and formaldehyde.
