Restoration of the Plateau–Rozier complex: exterior phase 6.3 and interior phase A

Summary

The tender covers the restoration of the protected Plateau–Rozier complex, part of the Institute of Sciences building, for Ghent University in Ghent. Exterior phase 6.3 includes demolishing extensions, restoring façades, windows and other joinery, restoring the roof, and landscaping courtyards B5 and B6. Interior phase A covers architectural and restoration works, structural stabilisation, and building services: heating, ventilation and air conditioning, sanitary systems, electrical installations and data networks. The works aim to preserve the historic interior, upgrade the building’s technical systems and use materials in a circular manner. The library will remain in use during the works, and access in central Ghent is difficult. A single contract covers all works; subject to the stated conditions, the contracting authority may also order exterior phase 6.4 and interior phases B and C. The contractor must provide a performance bond equal to 5% of the original contract amount excluding VAT, rounded up to the next ten, and invoices must be submitted electronically.
