Equal Municipalities – Accompanying Implementation Research

Summary

The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir) is procuring accompanying implementation research for the “Equal Municipalities” initiative. The research is to generate empirical evidence on how the initiative supports municipalities in promoting equality and preventing discrimination. It will follow the development and implementation of the initiative and examine which mechanisms and contextual factors help or hinder achievement of its goals, as well as what changes it brings about in municipal work. The findings are intended to inform public authorities and other relevant stakeholders developing local equality policy, measures and administration. The estimated value is NOK 4,000,000, and the deadline for submitting tenders is 30 October 2026 at 11:00.
