Eastern Border Barrier Fence Maintenance and Snow-Clearing Services

Summary

The tender covers comprehensive maintenance of the eastern border barrier fence in the South-East Finland and North Karelia Border Guard districts. The work includes snow clearing and gritting on approximately 284 km of roads, as well as maintenance and repairs to roads, culverts, ditches, bridges, gates, the barrier fence and backup generators. It also includes installing and maintaining traffic signs, clearing brush, grass and fallen trees, and repairing damage caused by storms, accidents, vandalism or animals. During contract performance, the service provider must maintain 24/7 on-call readiness, be able to respond to urgent situations and operate an up-to-date monitoring and reporting system. At this stage, only requests to participate are being accepted; only selected applicants will be invited to submit tenders under a separate invitation.
