Procurement of food products

Summary

The procurement covers food products and other supplies for the City of Salo’s catering services for 2027–2029. The joint procurement involves the City of Salo and the Salo Service Home Foundation. The food will be used across the city’s facilities, mainly in kindergartens and schools. Catering services prepare approximately 8,500 meals per day, and products will generally be supplied in catering-size packs. The purchase covers meat and meat products, frozen berries and vegetables, plant-based proteins, milk and dairy products, bread, dry groceries and frozen bakery products, jams, eggs, prepared meals, fresh and frozen fish, processed potatoes and carrots, and fruit and vegetables. The contract period is expected to start in February 2027. The contracting authority may exercise options for up to two additional years, 2030 and 2031, with their use and duration decided separately. The tender submission deadline is 3 November 2026.
