Laboratory and Imaging Services in Turku and Salo

Summary

The procurement covers laboratory services (sample collection, testing and recording results) and imaging services (imaging examinations and recording reports) for Länsirannikon Työterveys Oy in Turku and Salo. Bids may cover the laboratory part, the imaging part, or both; the aim is to select one provider for each part. Services will be ordered as needed, and estimated annual volumes are not binding on the contracting authority. In 2025, services worth nearly EUR 700,000 were purchased, approximately 20% in Salo and 80% in Turku. Appointments must be available on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00. Laboratory tests and imaging examinations must be available in both Turku and Salo, except MRI examinations, which may be provided in Turku only. Services may also be offered at the provider’s other locations. All examinations require the contracting authority’s electronic referral. The work includes conducting tests, entering results and, where applicable, reports into the authority’s patient information system, and supporting the provision of preparation instructions to patients. The provider must integrate its systems with the authority’s Acute patient information system, cover integration and implementation costs, and offer clients digital appointment booking. Prices must include all costs; no separate charges will be paid for implementation, training, invoicing or integration. Offers are evaluated on price (90%) and average result turnaround time (10%). The contract is indefinite, with a planned start date of 1 January 2027.
