Procurement of printing services

Summary

The procurement covers digital and small-format printing services for Unigrafia Oy, Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. The selected supplier will provide one integrated service covering items such as dissertations, books, reports, brochures, cards, posters, flyers and other small-format products, together with related finishing, delivery, mailing, ordering and pricing-system services. The supplier must be able to provide secure digital printing and have a service point in the Helsinki metropolitan area; offset printing may also be required when needed. The contract is for one supplier for four years, with an estimated start date of 1 January 2027. Lots and alternative tenders are not permitted, and the estimated quantities do not create a minimum purchase obligation or exclusivity. The supplier must provide price and ordering systems, order-history and production-status visibility, data-transfer functionality, Finnish- and English-language interfaces, customer support, and the specified delivery times. Typical delivery times are two working days for small products, three working days for standard digital print products and five working days for dissertations; express dissertation delivery may be offered within three or four working days for an additional price. The tender must include the completed minimum-requirements, bidder-information, reference, quality and price forms and the other required annexes. At least two qualifying references for combined digital and small-format printing services are required. Price accounts for 70% of the evaluation and quality for 30%. Quality assessment covers the pricing and ordering systems, production and delivery tracking, customer notifications and the quality of a test print consisting of three dissertations.
