Rental of a Backup Thermal Energy Generator for Hot Water Supply

Summary

The procurement is for the rental of a 2,500 kW containerised diesel-fired boiler to provide temporary backup for hot water and heat supply at the Cuéllar biomass heating plant. The rental package must include a 20,000-litre fuel tank, connection hoses and the hydraulic and electrical connections needed to integrate the unit with the plant. The supplier must deliver, install and commission the equipment, provide corrective maintenance during the contract, remove and collect it, and give staff one hour of training. Delivery and commissioning are due within 5 working days of contract signature. The contract runs for 10 weeks from delivery, with an extension permitted. The bid must include a technical proposal and data sheets identifying the equipment’s manufacturer, model and exact version, standard equipment and included accessories. The estimated rental period is 10 weeks: the maximum weekly charge for the boiler, tank and connection hoses is EUR 4,000; delivery, crane services, installation and commissioning, and separately collection, crane services and dismantling are capped at EUR 2,600 each. The budget ceiling is EUR 45,200 excluding VAT (EUR 54,692 including VAT), and the estimated contract value is EUR 54,240. Actual quantities depend on need, and the number of rental units may be increased by up to 20% through a contract modification. Price is the sole award criterion. The bidder must submit the required responsible declaration and technical information and be registered in the relevant official tenderer register. Before contract signature, the successful bidder must provide civil liability insurance of EUR 100,000 per claim. Contract documents must be handled digitally.
