Opening a financial account to place Calp City Council’s €20 million cash surplus – Lot 2
Summary
The tender concerns opening and operating a financial account to place the Calp City Council’s temporary cash surplus of €20 million under Lot 2 for 12 months. The bank must ensure immediate liquidity and transfer funds within no more than five calendar days after a properly authorised withdrawal request, without penalty or loss of accrued interest. No account or service fees or charges may be applied, the account must not become overdrawn, and interest is paid in the month following each quarter. The bid must state an annual interest rate of at least 2.5%. Evaluation awards 75 points for the interest rate, 20 points for keeping a customer-facing branch in Calp open for at least two hours one afternoon each week throughout the contract, and up to 5 points for corporate volunteering. A bidder proposing volunteering must include a signed description of the activities, hours, participants and any partner organisation. Bidders must be financial institutions registered with the Bank of Spain and must have a public-facing branch in Calp. A bidder may be awarded only one of the two lots; if it is the highest-ranked bidder for both, Lot 1 takes priority. The deadline for bids is 10 working days from the day after publication of the contract notice.
