Supply of plants, bulbs, seeds and horticultural growing media for Utrera’s green areas

The Utrera City Council is procuring plants, bulbs, seeds and horticultural growing media in two lots to replace failed or damaged planting in municipal parks, green areas and street landscaping. Lot 1 covers shrubs, perennials, flowering and aromatic plants, bulbs and seeds; Lot 2 covers growing media, including screened and fertilised topsoil and clean screened mulch. Bids may be submitted for one, several or both lots, and the same bidder may be awarded both. The annual budget is €40,000 excluding VAT (€44,000 including 10% VAT); the estimated total value including possible extensions is €120,000 excluding VAT. Deliveries are made against orders, at the supplier’s expense, to the agreed municipal delivery point. Each order must be fulfilled within 20 calendar days from the working day after notification of the order. Each delivered batch carries a one-year warranty. Bidders must demonstrate relevant annual turnover of at least €60,000 and experience supplying goods of a similar nature worth at least €28,000 in the best year of the preceding three years. Plants must match the specified species and sizes and be healthy; at least 75% of flowering, perennial and aromatic plants must have flowers or fruit identifying the variety. Growing media must meet the technical composition and cleanliness specifications, and the successful supplier must provide an up-to-date analysis of the topsoil from a certified laboratory. Packaging must use recyclable materials, and deliveries must take place outside peak traffic hours. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish with the required unit-price breakdown.
