Polishing and shine-finishing terrazzo floors at Girona–Costa Brava Airport

Summary

The tender covers the grinding, polishing and shine-finishing of approximately 4,300 m² of terrazzo and brass-jointed marble flooring in different areas of the Girona–Costa Brava Airport terminal, using a lithium hardener. The work includes preparing and progressively grinding the floors, applying hardener, cleaning, and moving benches and other furniture out of the work areas and returning them afterwards. Work must not disrupt normal airport operations or passenger movement and should, where practicable, be scheduled from January to March. The contract runs for three years from the date of the start certificate, with no extensions provided. The estimated and maximum contract value is €45,000 excluding VAT, equivalent to a maximum of €15,000 per year. Bids may not exceed the cap, and price is the sole award criterion. Payment is based on monthly certifications of work performed. Bidders must attend the mandatory airport site visit and include the visit certificate, a commitment to comply with the technical specifications, and a list of the machinery and products to be used with technical data sheets. Before work begins, the contractor must submit a service delivery plan and an environmental monitoring plan. The contractor supplies and maintains the required equipment, ensures staff have the required training and airport access credentials, and is responsible for safety, signage and waste management. Bids must be submitted electronically and signed.
