Spanish–Basque translation, editing and simultaneous interpreting services

Summary

The tender covers on-demand translation, proofreading and review between Spanish and Basque, as well as simultaneous interpreting from Basque into Spanish for Bilbao City Council. The council does not guarantee a minimum volume of work. Translations must undergo a two-person quality-control process and meet ISO 17100:2015 requirements; the contractor must provide a suitably experienced team with the required Basque proficiency and appropriate translation and data-protection tools. The standard translation rate is 600 words per hour and the urgent rate is 1,200 words per hour. Notice of simultaneous interpreting is generally given at least 4 calendar days in advance. Communications with the council must be in Basque.
