Sound and lighting services for the opening of San Sebastián’s 2026/27 Christmas campaign

The procurement seeks a contractor to provide sound and lighting services for the opening event of San Sebastián’s 2026/27 Christmas campaign. The approximately 30-minute outdoor show begins on the City Hall terrace and continues with a flight of 1,000 drones and a light show over La Concha Bay. The contract also covers a separate sound and lighting service if the drone display has to be postponed because of weather. The contractor must provide even sound coverage on Mollaberria Street, the Alderdi Eder terrace and gardens, La Concha promenade and beach, and Cervantes Square. The specified sound pressure across the public area is a minimum of 90–100 dB SPL. The system must include at least 6 sound towers and 4 microphones, as well as amplifiers, processors, mixing desks, stage monitors, and equipment for music playback and sound-quality control. Lighting must ensure visibility for people on the terrace, safe lighting for people with reduced mobility, and suitable dynamic Christmas-themed lighting. The contractor must supply and install the necessary equipment, carry out technical checks and rehearsals, operate the service during the event, and dismantle the equipment afterwards. The contracting entity will provide security staff and the required power connections or generators. The event is provisionally scheduled for 4 December 2026 at 18:30. The service may take place between 4 and 6 December, and the contracting entity may change the date without additional charge by giving at least two calendar days’ notice. A justified change to the start time may be up to one hour. Tenderers must submit the required declarations and technical documents and quote separate unit prices for the complete opening event service and the postponed drone-event service. Evaluation also considers the services coordinator’s equality training: at least 6 hours completed within the 12 months before the tender submission deadline, or a commitment to complete the training during the contract.
