Supply of Books and Bibliographic Materials to Manresa Municipal Libraries

Summary

The contract covers the supply of books and other bibliographic materials to Manresa’s Casino and Ateneu les Bases municipal libraries to update their collections. It is divided into two lots: Lot 1 covers general collection books for adults, young people and children, including replacement classics, new releases, children’s and educational books, and special-interest titles; Lot 2 covers books and documents relating to authors, subjects and publications from Manresa and the Bages region. Bidders may tender for either or both lots, and one bidder may be awarded both. Books will be delivered to the municipal libraries against orders, and payment is due only for documents actually ordered and supplied. The first-period budget ceiling is €33,000 including 4% VAT: €31,000 for Lot 1 and €2,000 for Lot 2. The contract starts after signature, runs until 31 May 2027 and may be extended for three additional years; its validity depends on the award of the funding grant. The ordinary delivery period is 15 days from receipt of an order. Transport is included in the price, and defective, incorrectly supplied or transit-lost books must be replaced free of charge. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity and confirm that no circumstances prevent them from contracting with the public administration. Evaluation takes account, among other things, of a discount of up to 15% on retail prices, shorter delivery times, cataloguing and labelling services, and the proposed arrangements for order management, library support and environmentally responsible transport.
