Migration of SIM Cards in Onboard Bus Computers

Summary

The tender covers the migration of SIM cards in approximately 1,170 Transports de Barcelona buses following a change of communications operator. The work involves removing the existing CPUCOM unit from each bus and installing, connecting, securing and powering up equipment supplied by the contracting entity. The contractor must complete a checklist on a smartphone, email the diagnostic report, record each bus as completed and send an end-of-shift email reporting any problems encountered. The procurement is divided into two lots: Lot 1 covers 530 Zona Franca buses, and Lot 2 covers 640 buses at Triangle and Horta. To participate, bidders must demonstrate at least two years’ experience installing technology in buses or other rolling stock and provide the required information-security certificate. Administrative documents and the price offer must be submitted digitally using the required forms. The contractor must also meet the liability-insurance, personal-data-protection and technical-specification requirements for waste management.
