Vegetation control and removal on high-speed railway lines
Summary
Adif is procuring vegetation control and removal across the national high-speed rail network it manages, including tracks, platforms, ditches, stations, maintenance bases, technical buildings and other railway facilities. The work covers herbicide treatments, manual clearing of herbaceous and shrub vegetation, tree pruning and felling, stump treatment and removal, and occasional tunnel washing. Estimated quantities include 22,000 km of general herbicide treatment, 1,000 km of complementary treatment, 12,000 km of ditch treatment, herbicide treatment of 2.1 million m² of facilities, and manual clearing of 1.8 million m² of herbaceous vegetation and 1.2 million m² of shrub vegetation. The contract runs for 24 months, with a possible 24-month extension.
