Technical Building Systems Design: Building Automation Renewal and IT Infrastructure Modernisation

Summary

The tender concerns technical building systems design at the DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend hospital as part of hospital restructuring project 5: renewal of the building automation system and centralisation and modernisation of the IT infrastructure. The design covers HOAI 2021 service phases 2–8 for high-voltage electrical systems and telecommunications and information technology systems. The work includes reorganising and integrating technical systems, coordinating technical solutions and preparing the required budget and planning documents. The work must be planned around an operating hospital and also takes account of the removal of IT systems at the Berlin Mitte site. The project budget framework is EUR 17,309,000 including VAT and a 10% contingency; this is not the design contract price. Site attendance is required initially weekly and subsequently every two weeks, with on-site construction supervision during the works. The contract will be awarded in stages and priced as a lump sum. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026. The contract is not divided into lots and variant bids are not permitted.
