Tender detail
Technical building-services design and centralisation of supply and waste logistics
Summary
The tender concerns technical building-services design for centralising supply and waste logistics in Building I at the DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend hospital. The assignment covers HOAI service phases 2–8 and electrical, telecommunications and information technology, and lift systems. The design is to provide a central logistics route through the basement, separating the movement of supplies and waste from routes used by patients, staff and visitors. The work takes place in an operating hospital, so the solution must allow phased construction while minimising disruption to hospital operations. The assignment also includes surveying existing systems, completing the planning baseline, comparing technical solutions and alternatives, preparing cost and schedule information, and coordinating with other designers. Construction supervision and monitoring of demolition work will also take place at the Westend and Mitte hospital sites. The project budget framework is EUR 10,280,000 gross, including VAT and a 10% contingency; this is not the design fee. The contract will be awarded in stages, with a lump-sum fee offered on the basis of the contract documents. The procurement is not divided into lots and variants are not permitted. Evaluation will use the criteria stated in the contract notice or award-criteria matrix, including the fee and the project team. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026. Bidders must submit the completed applicant form and award-criteria matrix, together with proof of professional liability insurance. The exact minimum qualification requirements must be checked in the applicant form.
