Medical technology planning for the central operating theatre expansion and 16 intermediate care beds

Summary

The tender concerns specialist planning of medical technology systems at the DRK Clinics’ Westend site in Berlin: the central operating theatre will be expanded by two operating rooms, a 16-bed intermediate care unit will be established, and the operating theatres will be adapted to medical IT requirements. The contract covers technical equipment planning for HOAI service phases 2–8, limited to medical technology. The work includes surveying existing systems, detailed planning, cost and schedule preparation, and coordination with other designers; the design must account for the hospital remaining operational and, where necessary, phased construction. The indicative construction budget is EUR 25,530,000 gross, including VAT and a 10% contingency; this is not the fee for the planning services. The services will be commissioned in stages and remunerated by a fixed lump-sum fee. Bidders must submit the required suitability and compliance documents, including proof of professional indemnity insurance and a completed applicant questionnaire. Offers will be assessed on the fee, the proposed project team and its members’ individual references. The offer must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026.
