Technical building systems design – centralisation of angiography, subproject 1.5

Summary

The tender is for specialist planning of technical building systems at DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend, to centralise the vascular surgery angiography facility and plan for its future use as a hybrid operating theatre. The design covers service stages 2–8 and wastewater, water and gas installations, heating, ventilation and building automation. The works concern an existing hospital that will remain operational, so the design must allow for phased construction and minimise disruption; the protected status of the building ensemble must also be taken into account. The services include assessing existing systems, developing technical solutions, preparing cost and schedule information and budget documents, and coordinating with other designers and the project manager. Site attendance is required at the Westend hospital, and demolition works at the DRK Berlin Mitte site must be monitored. The services will be commissioned in stages for a fixed lump-sum fee. The offer will be assessed against the fee, proposed project team and team members’ relevant past work as detailed in the tender documents. Offers must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026. Participation requires, among other things, a completed applicant questionnaire and award-criteria matrix, together with proof of professional indemnity insurance; the specific qualification criteria must be checked in the tender documents.
