Medical gas installation works for the new Heart Center and Informatics for Life
Summary
Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg is procuring the complete supply and installation of medical and user-specific gas supply systems for its new Heart Center and Informatics for Life building. The work covers oxygen, CO₂, medical and technical compressed-air and vacuum plants; pipework and distribution networks; area shut-off and monitoring units; gas warning and alarm systems; medical gas outlets; and an anaesthetic gas scavenging system. The contractor must deliver, transport, install and connect the equipment, prepare workshop and installation plans, coordinate interfaces with other contractors, and carry out the required testing, commissioning, certification, operator instruction and documentation. The procurement also includes site setup, BIM work, drilling and support works. Maintenance pricing must be offered for four years, but maintenance may be commissioned separately at a later stage and is not part of the main contract. The bidder must name a project manager with at least an engineering degree, master craftsman qualification or equivalent, and at least three years of site experience on comparable projects. Work on medical gas systems must be performed by suitably qualified technical staff. The bid must be submitted electronically through Vergabeportal-BW by 2 November 2026 at 10:00. It must include the required completed forms, including a suitability declaration, cost-calculation information, subcontracting and other-company details, a minimum-wage commitment, proof of liability insurance and a declaration concerning Russia-related restrictions. Variant bids are not permitted; prices must be stated in euros net of VAT.
