Specialist technical building-services design for hospital ward refurbishment and intensive care unit expansion

Summary

The contract covers specialist technical building-services design for renovating hospital wards and expanding the intensive care unit at DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend. The project includes refurbishing wards 29, 1b and 4b and accommodating eight intensive care beds. The services cover HOAI 2021 design phases 2–8 for high-voltage electrical systems and telecommunications and information technology systems. The designer will, among other tasks, assess existing systems, develop technical solutions, prepare cost and schedule calculations, and contribute to an expanded preliminary planning document. The design must minimise disruption to hospital operations. The contract also requires coordination with other designers and project management, and on-site attendance at the Westend and Berlin Mitte locations. Offers must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026. The contract is not divided into lots and alternative bids are not permitted. Fees must be offered as a lump sum based on HOAI 2021, and services will be commissioned in stages.
