Decarbonized value chains

Summary

Zukunft – Umwelt – Gesellschaft gGmbH is procuring an 18-month study on how industrial value chains and material flows change as energy-intensive industries decarbonize. The study covers cement, lime, glass, ceramics, steel, non-ferrous metals, chemicals and paper, including relevant upstream and downstream processing and recycling. It will model current and low-emission target value chains, examine at least 24 strategic material flows and at least 24 low-emission business models, identify at least 48 early movers or strategic partnerships, and deliver interim reports, a final study of up to 100 A4 pages, at least one infographic per industry, a presentation and recommendations for industry and policymakers.
