Monitoring Wolves in Denmark
Summary
The contract covers comprehensive monitoring of wolves in Denmark. Its purpose is to establish the distribution of wolves and the relationship between the Danish population and the wider Central European population, supporting the authorities’ population-management decisions. The contractor must carry out individual monitoring, collect and analyse DNA samples, report the monitoring results and advise on matters related to wolf monitoring. Field monitoring must take place in Denmark; DNA analyses and advisory work may be performed elsewhere. The initial contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2029, with two options to extend it by one year each on unchanged terms. The annual budget is DKK 7.5 million, and the estimated total value including extensions is DKK 37.5 million. The procurement is an open procedure. Tenders must be submitted in Danish, and the contractor must comply with the contracting authority’s employment clause. Tenders are evaluated on quality (70%) and price (30%).
