Building Design: Renewal of Building Management Systems and IT Modernisation

Summary

The procurement is for building design services for Subproject 5 of the hospital structural fund programme, covering renewal of building management systems and centralisation and modernisation of IT infrastructure at the DRK Clinics Berlin sites in Westend and Mitte. The contract covers building design under Section 34 of the HOAI, service phases 2–8. Specialist technical-system design is commissioned separately, but the building designer must coordinate the designs and work collaboratively with the project team. The services include surveys of existing conditions and an extended preliminary design with the level of detail of a construction design, including cost, schedule, alternatives and budget documentation. The works must be planned for an operating hospital, taking account of phased construction and heritage-protection requirements. The estimated project cost is EUR 17,309,000 gross, including VAT and 10% contingency. The fee is to be offered as a lump sum, and the services will be commissioned in stages. Offers must be submitted electronically in German by 16 October 2026 at 12:10. The contract is not divided into lots, and alternative offers are not permitted.
