Conservation and stabilisation of the ceiling painting at Martinskirchen Castle

Summary

The Verbandsgemeinde Liebenwerda, on behalf of the City of Mühlberg/Elbe, is procuring Lot 2: stabilisation, conservation and restoration of the ceiling painting attributed to Stefano Torelli in the Marble Hall at Martinskirchen Castle. The work covers approximately 2 m² of damaged ceiling, including reattaching and strengthening the plaster support, condition documentation of the full ceiling painting (approximately 85 m²), and investigative surveys and mapping of other potentially weakened areas. The works are planned for December 2026 to June 2027.
