Piano and Harpsichord Tuning and Maintenance Services

Summary

The tender is for Casa da Música’s piano and harpsichord tuning and maintenance services in support of concerts, rehearsals and other scheduled artistic activities. Orders will be placed as needed and may include tuning, concert and rehearsal attendance, annual general maintenance, repairs and upkeep, including the replacement of strings and other parts where required. The contract also covers moving pianos within the Casa da Música building. Work must follow the event schedule; maintenance reports are due within 7 days, and work that fails acceptance checks must be corrected at the contractor’s expense. The contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2029, up to 1,095 days, but ends earlier if the €165,000 maximum excluding VAT is reached. Estimated tuning volumes are 320 piano tunings and 42 harpsichord tunings per year; these are indicative only and do not guarantee orders. Bidders must quote unit prices for every listed service and instrument, within the ceilings set in the tender documents. Price is the sole award criterion. The bid deadline is 21 October 2026 at 23:59, and bids must remain valid for 120 days. Variant bids are not permitted, and no bid guarantee is required.
