Construction and operation of a photovoltaic system under an investment and operator model

Summary

The Kommunaler Immobilien Service of the City of Potsdam is procuring the financing, design, construction and operation of a rooftop photovoltaic system on the new sports hall and canteen at the primary and comprehensive school on Humboldtring in Potsdam. The installation must have a capacity of at least 50 kWp and supply the site with solar electricity as a priority; surplus electricity is to be marketed by the operator. The scope also covers metering, billing, maintenance, fault response, operational duties and eventual removal of the system. The contract runs for 20 years from the start of electricity supply and may be extended in twelve-month periods up to five times.
