Roll Containers for Breathing Apparatus Logistics

Summary

The City of Nuremberg is procuring 20 specially sized wheeled containers for the fire service’s breathing-apparatus logistics. The containers must have an aluminium frame, be 1,100 mm long and 800 mm wide, with the height agreed in view of the wheel diameter. They must have screen-printed plywood walls and four levels, four hinged covers along one long side with three breathing-apparatus compartments behind each cover (each at least 320 × 350 mm), recessed latches, non-slip surfaces and four wheels measuring 150–200 mm. A parking brake acting on at least two wheels must be suitable for a total weight of up to 500 kg and operated by a continuous aluminium bar. A prototype must be manufactured before series production and tested and approved by the contracting authority at the manufacturer’s works. As an option, bidders may offer aluminium walls, floors and covers, quoting only the additional price. The procurement also includes packaging and delivery of all 20 containers to the Nuremberg fire station. The bid must include detailed technical descriptions and product literature in German, including operating instructions and a drawing showing the required dimensions. Only products already available in the bidder’s product range may be offered. Bids must be submitted electronically by 2 November 2026 at 23:59; alternative bids are not permitted. The delivery and performance period is 13 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. Price is the sole award criterion.
