Renting vehicles for natural environment management and monitoring

Summary

The contract covers the five-year rental, without extension, of ten five-seat 4×4 pickup trucks for environmental officers serving La Palma’s environment and emergency services. The vehicles must be suitable for transporting people and equipment on roads, forest tracks and off-road terrain. Delivery is due within six months of contract signature, although bidders may offer a shorter period. The rental includes maintenance and insurance. The technical specification requires, among other things, a diesel engine, Euro 6 emissions compliance, 4×4 transmission, at least 1,900 cc engine capacity and 150 hp, five seats, and emergency-vehicle lights and audible warning equipment. Maintenance includes repairs arising from normal wear and tyre replacement at least every 25,000 km; annual mileage is capped at 25,000 km per vehicle. Comprehensive insurance without an excess, 24-hour roadside assistance and a replacement vehicle when a rented vehicle has been unusable for 48 hours are required. The estimated budget is €670,000 including 7% IGIC. Bids are evaluated on price (90%) and delivery time (10%). Bidders must demonstrate the required turnover and comparable supply experience, submit technical catalogues for the vehicles, and comply with the tender’s compliance and environmental conditions.
