Nest and Chick Protection in the Unterwesermarsch Bird Sanctuary, 2027–2028

Summary

Landkreis Osterholz is procuring nest and chick protection services for 2027–2028 in the Unterwesermarsch bird sanctuary, site V27. The work includes advising farmers and local stakeholders, mapping the breeding areas of target species, monitoring nesting and breeding success, planning and checking protection measures, preparing predator-management recommendations, and documenting results and producing annual reports. The contract is divided into two lots: the Harriersand and Fährplate area, and a second area comprising Frühplate, Hammelwardersand with Ruchsand, Rader Sand, Liener Kuhsand, and the area of V27 on the landward side of the dike. Bidders may tender for one or both lots. Price is the sole award criterion, and alternative tenders are not permitted. The contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 30 November 2028. Tenders must be submitted electronically in German by 11:00 on 22 October 2026. Bidders must demonstrate the required experience in nest and chick protection projects and submit prices and the required declarations, including compliance with minimum-pay and collective-pay requirements.
