Road condition survey in Wesseling
Summary
The City of Wesseling is procuring the collection of road-infrastructure data and an assessment of road condition. The work includes imaging approximately 165 km of urban roads and carrying out ground-penetrating radar surveys over the same road length, as well as a radar survey of 21 km of selected cycle routes. The image survey must produce at least four images per camera location at intervals of approximately 5 m (± 20 cm), in both directions. Faces and vehicle registration plates must be made unidentifiable in the images. The scope also includes capturing or updating road-asset geometry, visually assessing the condition of carriageways and other road facilities using both images and on-site inspections, and analysing and documenting the radar results. Results must be delivered, including in Shape format suitable for a geographic information system. The supplier must also provide image-viewing software with location search, anonymisation, measurement and point-marking functions. Project management includes at least three meetings with the contracting authority and data collection and delivery for a reference section of approximately 5.5 km. Bidders must provide at least five comparable references from the last five years and evidence of the relevant qualifications and experience of the staff assigned to the project. Evidence of liability insurance, professional or commercial registration and employers’ liability insurance membership is also required. Bids must be submitted electronically by 23 October 2026 at 10:00. Price is the sole award criterion; the procurement is not divided into lots and alternative bids are not permitted.
