Specialist technical building-services design: operating department expansion and 16 intermediate-care beds

Summary

The contract is for specialist technical building-services design for project part 3 at DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend: expanding the central operating department by two operating rooms, creating a 16-bed intermediate-care unit and adapting the operating departments to medical IT requirements. The design covers HOAI service phases 2–8 and systems for water, drainage and gas, heating, ventilation and building automation. The work includes surveying existing technical systems, detailed design and cost planning, and coordination with other designers. The construction budget is EUR 25,530,000 gross, including VAT and a 10% contingency allowance. Services will be commissioned in stages and priced as a fixed lump sum.
