Tender detail

Hazardous-substance remediation and strip-out of Building D

Summary

The tender covers hazardous-substance remediation and internal strip-out of Building D at the Central Police Directorate of Lower Saxony in Hanover, in preparation for a major refurbishment. The work includes removing asbestos, man-made mineral fibres and PAH-containing materials; demolishing contaminated and uncontaminated finishes and building elements; cleaning rooms; and sorting, transporting and properly disposing of the resulting waste. It also includes containment measures, airlocks and negative-pressure equipment, protective works and record-keeping. The building must be prepared for post-remediation testing and handed over free of contamination. The planned works are due to start in the first quarter of 2027 and finish in the third quarter of 2027; work must begin within eight days of contract award. The contractor must plan for access controls at a police site: everyone entering the premises must undergo a prior reliability check, which usually takes 5–10 working days and remains valid for one year. Working hours are generally 6:00–18:00 on weekdays. The tender submission deadline is 4 November 2026 at 09:30. The contract is not divided into lots, variants are not permitted, and price is the sole award criterion. The bidder must provide the required qualification evidence, details of competent personnel, forms and declarations; consult the tender documents for the full requirements.
