Inspection services for the northern section of the Northern Railway

Summary

ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG is procuring statutory inspection services for Phase 3 of the Northern Railway expansion between Gänserndorf and the state border near Bernhardsthal, to support authorisation for operation. The main contract covers inspections of the 2025–2027 construction lots NH1.0, NU1.0, NH1.1 and NU1.1; an option covers inspections and partial inspection certificates for subsequent lots, plus an overall inspection certificate for the entire northern section. The works subject to inspection include track formation and track, signalling and control systems, telecommunications, electrical systems, overhead lines, buildings, acoustics, geotechnics and hydraulic engineering.
