Construction of a New Cargo Facility at Ras Hanzir

Summary

The tender concerns construction of a new cargo facility at Ras Hanzir in Malta’s Grand Harbour, between the Laboratory and Fuel Wharves in Corradino. Under the amendment, all ground improvement in Zone A must use Jet Grouting: at least 90% of the required soil volume in the designated ground-improvement zone must achieve a strength of 0.35 MPa. The tender price for this work must be entered under item 7.1 in Series 600, Earth Works, of the Bill of Quantities. The price must cover trials and compliance demonstrations, equipment, materials, labour, testing, monitoring, sampling, quality control and as-built documentation.
