Srebra River clearance and stabilisation using green measures

Summary

The procurement comprises two lots to improve the flow capacity of the Srebra River and stabilise its banks in built-up areas of Rakovski Municipality. Lot 1 covers approximately 855 m of river in Shishmantsi: vegetation and sediment will be removed, the channel cross-section shaped, and damaged stone masonry restored or gabions installed as specified in the project; the banks will be planted. Lot 2 covers two river sections in Rakovski, measuring 385 m and 100 m. The works include clearing vegetation and waste from the channel and carrying out necessary local stabilisation, planting and geocell works. The tender documents and project define the precise scope. Bidders may tender for either or both lots, and both lots may be awarded to the same bidder. The execution period for either lot is 90–180 calendar days. Price is the only award criterion. The estimated values, excluding VAT, are EUR 2,392,050.55 for Lot 1 and EUR 301,095.75 for Lot 2. Funding had not been secured when the tender was launched: work begins after funding is confirmed and the performance guarantee is provided. The contract may end if funding is not secured; the tender documents set out the detailed conditions. The performance guarantee is 1% of the contract price excluding VAT; if an advance is paid, its guarantee is 10% of that price. The technical tender must include a work programme with the required contents.
